Target Groups

The "African Climate Teach-in Day" will reach a broad audience which consistes of:

  • Secondary school students (Upper levels)
  • University students of all subjects
  • University lecturers and professors and
  • Interested individuals

The approach used in the "African Climate Teach-In Day" is an inclusive one and welcomes all interested people to participate.

The event will give school teachers, university lecturers and their students the chance to examine some key climate-related issues. The "African Climate Teach-In Day" is meant not only to provide information to students, but also engage them on discussions on how to solve the climate-related problems seen in their regions and in the action needed to tackle the challenges of climate change. By encouraging school and university students to debate climate issues, we will fostering their awareness on climate matters and will, at the same time, be motivating them to discuss ways to handle the impact of climate problems.
